About the Role:

Local candidates only, please. We require up to a 1 week trial period before hiring

We are currently looking for a full-time Accessory Install Tech to join our team. The person in this position will be tasked with installing exterior vehicle accessories such as bumpers, racks, suspension, lights, and more on Sprinters, Transits, and Promasters. Beyond that the person will troubleshoot and repair RV type electrical systems, heaters, and plumbing systems.

The applicant must have experience working with hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment. Broad mechanical and electrical knowledge, an acute attention to detail, and a positive attitude are required.

Duties, Responsibilities, and Qualifications

  • Install, wire and test electrical accessories such as winches, lights, and onboard air compressors
  • Install, diagnose, and repair diesel and gasoline heaters such as Espar and Webasto
  • Cut, install and seal roof vents, fans, and windows
  • Install suspension components such as springs, shocks, and lift kits
  • Assemble and install exterior components such as bumpers, running boards and racks.
  • Install and troubleshoot Off grid, RV style electrical systems and components. Ie: Inverters, solar controllers, solar panels, DC-DC chargers, 12v and 120v circuits and appliances.
  • Read and understand instructions provided by vendors for installation of aftermarket parts and components
  • Work within allotted times and communicate any delays to the Service Writer or Service Manager
  • Maintain a safe and clean work space
  • Complete vehicle inspections with a detailed eye
  • Interact with customers at van drop-offs and pick-ups in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
  • Ability to patiently walk a customer through the work that was completed on their vehicle with any tutorials needed
  • Additional shop duties as directed

General Employment Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with automotive repair or modification
  • 1+ year of 12v Electrical experience
  • Carpentry, Upholstery and Metal Fabrication Experience a plus
  • Clean driving record and valid CO license
  • Must pass background check
  • References will be checked

Full-time Tues - Friday 7am-5:45pm
